waiting to be discovered …

If you are reading these lines, you are beginning to discover our little wedding. Don’t worry, it’s not a long or demanding read. Nor is it compulsory if the idea frightens you. However, we feel that a few written words might help you get into the spirit of our celebration.

First of all, welcome!

You may be wondering why we created a website. Well, in the first place we have to admit that, as editorial novices, it has been a lot of fun building it up bit by bit. But the idea came from a wish to share with you some thoughts on the texts of the readings and hymns that we will hear during the religious celebration you are all invited to. As much as possible, we want to give them the central role in the event, because in reality this is not just a party, but a true celebration. These reflections are not intended for a particular audience (religious people, practicing Christians, or – God forbid! – experts on the Holy Scriptures), but for anyone who, with a little attention, might find in them a teaching that could actually relate to everyday life. Or, at the very least, they might provide a little spark for reflection.

However, it seemed natural to enrich this idea and add a few curiosities around the edges – from how the unexpected urge to propose suddenly arose, to the story of the little trip we’re going to take at the end (or perhaps it’s better to say at the beginning) of this journey. It’s true that most of you already know most of this because we’ve been talking about it for months, but it’s also true that the written word has a way of changing everything.

Enjoy the reading!
